If it is given a little heat, the adhesive on the seaming tape will melt, which will result in joining of both the pieces. Then, you need to put some weight over it until it gets dried completely.   • Use Knee kicker to attach the carpet with the strips. The knee kicker must be at a distance of 3 inches from the wall and you must push them forcefully into the padded end. In this way, the carpet will get a good position; and it will stay that way.

  • Cut the outer edges of the carpet near the wall using an edge trimmer and by using a power stretcher, fasten the carpet to tackless strips.
  • If the length of the carpet is exceeding at any edge, trim it to your required level. Besides, in a carpet installation, you also need to cut down the carpet at your doorway; and install a door edge and shoe molding on the baseboard as a last move to complete your carpet installation.
