• If you are attaching it to a house, attach it to the wall at a suitable altitude, using stone bolts or coach screws; cut the rafters to your required length and with the help of galvanized nails and beam hooks, attach them with the top of the bearers. • You can select any type of roofing material for attaching the roof, which you do by attaching it to the top of the carrier and joists with the help of roofing screws. Roofing screws are fitted with rubber washers and their presence is extremely essential.
  
  
• While attaching the roof, you need to leave a little length to overhang. It will protect your carport from the rain and you will not have to re-build a carport again because, if you expertly build a carport, there are very low chances of going for its reconstruction.
