1-Prepare the Area |

| 2-Set the Gravel |

| You have to pour the asphalt paving on top of the gravel base which should be approximately two to eight inches deep. You can use standard roadway gravel for this step. |

| 3-Choose A Contractor |
|
| A professional contractor should be hired for laying the asphalt paving material. Ho-mix asphalt paving needs special machinery for mixing and setting. Moreover, the temperature of asphalt paving is a little high for you to handle by yourself. Therefore, you should hire a contractor for mixing and setting the asphalt paving. When choosing a contractor you should get several quotes, check their background and schedule the project. A sunny day is generally suitable for laying the asphalt paving. The temperature must be at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit for laying 1.5 inch of asphalt paving. However, a contractor can do the work even when the temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. |

| 4-Allow The Asphalt Paving to Dry |

| Before you can use the paving, you should give some time for it to dry and harden. The time needed for drying depends on a weather conditions. If the weather is suitable then only a half-hour is required for the installation of asphalt paving. |

| You will have a nice driveway after asphalt paving installation. However, you should apply driveway sealer sometimes to stop water from entering through cracks and pores. When crack develop in your new driveway, then you must use a crack sealer to seal them up immediately so that they do not get bigger. |
