| Instructions for Changing a Door Lock |

- First of all, you have to determine the brand of your door lock and purchase the same one. This will make the process easier as you will not have to make any changes to your door.
- Take accurate measurements of the door’s latch and backset to get the right size of door lock.
- Once you have purchased the lock, gather all the tools needed for the procedure. You only require a screwdriver and a drill for changing your door lock.
- Start the procedure by taking out two to three screws from the old lock with the help of the screwdriver.
- Take out half of the lock and remove the screws on the door’s edges.
- After taking out all the screws, remove the old door lock. It should come out easily now that you have removed all the screws.
- Put the new door lock on the side of the doors and insert the screws in same way as they were on the old lock. Tighten the screws by using a screwdriver.
- Insert the front and the back of the door lock inside the door. Make sure that the pin on one side of the door lock enters the hole in the door’s latch and goes into notch on the other side. Secure both the sides in place with the screws supplied.
