How to Install Vinyl Wallpapers
Vinyl wallpapers have gained a lot of popularity because of their durability. Many people choose vinyl wallpapers because of the huge number of patterns available. There are vinyl wallpapers with scenes from the latest movies and even those with entire tropical forests on them. The major reason, however, of the popularity of vinyl wallpapers is the ease of cleaning. Just a few swaps of cleaning cloth and the stains are gone. The following tutorial will give the procedure to put up vinyl wallpaper easily
As always with any wallpaper work, shut off the electricity and tape up the electrical outlets. Mark the position of these outlets so that you can cut holes for them later.
Start with a Clean Wall
A dry and clean wall is an ideal surface for any wallpaper work. Make sure that there are no cracks or holes. Strip any old wallpaper as it will hinder in the adhesion of the wallpaper.
Apply the Primer
Primer does two things for vinyl wallpaper. Firstly, it offers a smooth and even surface for the wallpaper. Secondly, it improves the adhesion of the wallpaper. For vinyl wallpapers, use a primer developed for vinyl wallpaper.
Establish a Plumb Line
Plumb line is used to ensure the correct alignment of the wallpaper with the wall. Use a carpenter’s level to draw a line on the wall. This line will serve as your guide for the first strip of the wallpaper.
Use a Paint Roller to Apply the Adhesive
To apply a thin and uniform layer of adhesive, use a paint roller. You need adhesive designed specially for vinyl wall papers as others will not bond properly with the wall. Use an even layer of adhesive.
Put Up the Wallpaper
 Put up the wall paper starting with the plumb line. Always remember to check the alignment of the vinyl wallpaper with the previous strips. This way you will avoid embracing mistakes with the patterns.
Smooth the Wallpaper
Vinyl wallpapers are generally heavier then other wallpapers. This is why you need to smooth over any wrinkles. Always start from the middle, working your way out to the edges. This way any wrinkles will be transferred to the edges and removed easily.
Trim the Wallpaper
When done, use a sharp razor knife to trim the excess edges of the paper. This will give a more finished look to the paper. Always trim the paper using a very sharp knife. If you use a dull knife or an incorrect action, you may tear down the whole wallpaper.  
Continue the process until the entire room is done. Make sure that there are cutouts for electrical outlets. Let the room dry for 24 hours before moving in the furniture.
These tips are only useful when you have correctly understood them. If you ignore the safely tips ,mentioned in the beginning, yow may suffer damages and injury. Proper application of adhesive and then the hanging up of the paper is not a trivial task if you have any doubts, use a contractor who can better advice to you.
